Bill began his career in Insurance in 1962 and formed Gulf South Insurance Associates Inc. dba Gulf South Insurance Agency in 1969. Bill Love had a vision to reach the world, one person, at a time. He built his client base by word of mouth. He never had to advertise to build his book of business. His philosophy was gaining a customer was like gaining a friendship. His clients stayed with him from the very beginning. In 1989 he decided to branch out into Property and Casualty insurance. He was especially intrigued by the transportation industry. He always would say “if trucks stopped moving freight in America, the country itself would stop”. He loved trucks. When he landed his first transportation contract the rest is history.

In 2005 Bill's daughter, RaeJean Love opened Gulf South Insurance Agency, LLC "GSIA", and continued to carry her father's legacy by continuing to grow as a Commercial Insurance Agency in the Baton Rouge area. Bill Love, lovingly referred to as "Mr. Chairman” has made his mark in both the commercial and transportation insurance industry and his daughter carried his beliefs on here at GSIA in providing exceptional customer service and that dependability is paramount.
